'Dumb Cane'

Dieffenbachia 'Cheetah'

As the name suggests, this is a striking Dieffenbachia cultivar with brightly spotted foliage.

More commonly known as the 'Dumb Cane', if eaten, the toxic nature of the sap causes swelling resulting in temporary loss of the ability to speak. Remember to wear gloves when taking cuttings from this one!

Size

24cm pot x 95cm height

Why Hutch selects me

An attractive and relatively straight forward houseplant. This species of Dieffenbachia is one of the least fussy. However, keep away from strong drafts and really cold temperatures.

How to look after me

Watering: When the top two inches of soil has dried; approximately once a week - be careful to avoid overwatering

Light: Bright, indirect

Why I'm unique

We work hard to provide a clear photograph and description of your chosen plant. However, all plants are unique and, whilst the pot size remains the same, there is always variation in size and shape from one plant to the next.
